Question Wards Western Field

Wards Western Field guns were actually made by other companies.
Most were actually made by Mossberg and Savage-Stevens.
We'll need a model number off the gun to ID the exact model.
These guns usually are excellent shooters, but don't have very high values.
Parts for most of them can be bought from Gun Parts Corporation.
Gun Parts also have a cross reference guide where you can find out who actually made your gun:

As the others just stated, most Wards guns were made by either Mossberg or Savage-Stevens. My Western Field .22lr rifle was made by Mossberg and is worth about $50. I don't think you could get more than a hundred bucks for any Western Field gun. I can't speak for the shotguns, but my rifle is a good shooter and I can usually hit anything about the size of a basketball with it at 300 yards using iron sights. Mine btw has the model number ("Western Field M830 .22 s,l,lr") on top of the barrel and has no serial.

You should be able to find some kind of model number stamped on the barrel, or possibly on the receiver.
Depending on the age, these would probably look like:
04M-489A

35A
502-26FR
M025
Or any combination of numbers and letters.
Pre-1964 guns were not required to have serial numbers, and yours may not.
Don't mistake a Model number as a serial number.
