I recently purchased a Taurus PT940. Took it to the range, first shot from 25' was dead center bull in a 50' NRA slowfire. Needless to say, I was pleased.
I shot about 50 rounds, 25 single action & then 25 double action using the safety to drop the hammer after every shot. No failures of any kind, but the decocker seemed a little stiff. After I took the pistol home & cleaned it I tried the decocker a few times. It is really stiff - sometimes I can't lower it by using just my thumb. It does drop easily if I use pressure on both levers. Also, if I reach up with an index finger on either lever it will drop; the added leverage is enough to trip the decocker.
I know there are some PT940/945/911/957 owners that read the board - how does the decocker option work on your guns? (Also - the safety snaps up into "cocked & locked" position just fine.)
Thanks, Mak
