Hi There,

Is anyone familiar with the U.S. Firearm's "Silver Steel" patented finish? I saw a US Firearms "China Camp" model (the Dennis Ming endorsed model). It was really nice and finished in what US Firearms calls "silver steel." It looks basically like polished steel. Can anyone provide details on this finish? How well does it hold out against rust and corrosion? Is it simply a polished finish, or is there some kind of finishing process to it?

I have read that it is just polished steel but that's going on an old article of, IIRC, a pre-production model. You might have luck posting this on the black powder / cowboy action forum too.
