By now most of you guys know i,ve picked up a Ruger Redhawk 44 mag..

Question I have is' I had my heart set on useing the 250 gr. Winchester Partition Gold for deer hunting. From what i,ve read in some other gun forums
and possible it,s been stated here that this round doesn,t accurize good in Ruger handguns.

Anybody know the scoop on this statement.

I,ve yet to go to range to check it out.

Bear, . . . I am not sure that I can remember all the Ruger's I have owned in the last 40 odd years.

Each one seemed to be something like the girls I dated before I got married: they all liked to eat different things.

My last SRH .44 Mag, . . . only liked Remington 240 grain if we are talking accuracy, . . . it'd shoot the rest, . . . but the R240's were its favorite.

Take your gun, . . . get some sandbags, . . . a good spotting scope, . . . some of those Shoot N C targets, . . . several different loads (including the one you talked about) and go shoot it. Shoot 6 round groups of each and save enough of the ammo in each group to do it again a couple more times.

Wait a week and do it again, . . . wait another week and do it again. Compare your targets, . . . you'll see which one is the best. Truth being what it is, . . . someone with you having an identical gun, . . . won't usually get the same results.

May God bless,
Dwight
