i am taking my CCW this month on the 22nd to get the ball rolling.
i have just bought a Glock G23 and love the gun. when i bought it who ever had it also sent me a Bianchi IWB model 120 CC holster.
when at the range a few times i tried this holster on jsut to see how it felt. now i will say that i do not have a proper gun belt yet...still looking at some of them...but the problem i have with this partucular holster is when it is on and belt cinched down the gun is not easy to get out of the holster and when putting it back in the slide wants to rack back some...is this somthing as simple as having my belt to tight?
im new at this and jsut looking for ideas right now.
im planning on getting a proper gun belt possibly Wilderness or 5.11 tactical but havent made my mind up yet and also thinking about Comp Tac minotaur or Galco King Tuk holster...thinking maybe the kydex in these holsters will solve the problem with the holster being hard to reholster or take the gun out.
any opinions or ideas would help

It may well be that your belt is too tight, but if you adjust it so it rides higher on your hip it might help.
The Bianchi 120 has a reinforced top, but the design with the forward belt loop may snug it too much.
It may also be that the holster hasn't been broken in yet. Take a ziplock freezer bag and put the handgun in it, then put it in the holster and leave it that way for a few days. That should make draws and reholstering easier.
Oh, put your thumb on the back of the frame when reholstering to prevent the slide creep.

Good basic Glock 23 concealment holsters...

I'm not well versed in the holster brands you already named.
If it were me & you were right handed, I'd suggest a simple secure kydex type belt holster or a well made leather rig with a metal support band.
Good kydex holsters include; www.Blackhawk.com www.Blade-tech.com & www.COMholsters.com . The Fobus Roto(new type) is ok too.
You should be able to secure your Glock pistol but be able to re-holster one handed or w/o any effort.
The Blackhawk SERPA holster or a Safariland SFS design could do well.
Safariland is one of the federal contracts to the US DoJ/FBI for the Glock pistols(22/23).
High Noon Holsters has a great line of man made black holsters that are ready to ship. See www.Highnoonholsters.com . The prices are decent & they sell belts, mag holders, etc.
What ever holster you select, buy a sturdy belt, mag holder too.

I don't like the 120. Don't need the belt loops. I use a Bianchi 100 in size 11 for my Sig. I also use a 5.11 Tactical black casual belt 1.5 inches wide.

I had some issues with slippage, etc with my old belt, which was a purpose made "gunbelt" but was a generic no-name and was several years old. It basically lost stiffness--it wore out. I picked up the 5.11 and all issues disappeared.

I use the "thumb on the slide" method for reholstering. The holster should be a bit tight. If it wasn't what's to keep the gun in it when you're walking, sitting, bending, etc? The weapon shouldn't just pop out.

I think a good belt, like either of the ones you mentioned will probably fix your issues.

Basically, any IWB rig that piles the belt loops on top of the thickness of the gun itself, whether it's one belt loop or both, is going to stink.

The belt loops have to be offset from the body of the gun. There's a few ways of getting there, some involving a single belt loop, some involving two. The Crossbreed Supertuck or one of it's many competitors is a solid solution.

Get the comp tac and don't look back. I have had a few of them and they are in my mind the best kydex/leather holsters. They don't deform when you draw and they are super comfortable for all day carry.

Hands down the best IWB holster I've owned and for $80 it blew away some of my much more expensive IWB holsters.

It was so good that everyone of my friends who tried it out bought one of their own, that's about as good of praise as a product can get. Their customer service has been great the 2 times I called to ask about getting them to make a holster for a gun not listed and to ask a few technical questions.

Not having a proper gun belt may be the problem. If your belt isn't designed to carry the weight of the gun, you've got to cinch it down tighter to make it work. Just off the top of my head, here are some popular belt makers: The Beltman, Aker, Galco, . . . there are more, but I can't think of them.

Holster: I don't know much about the Bianchi 120. Had to google it just to see what it looks like. For the leather/horsehide/kydex IWB kind, there's Comp-Tac, Crossbreed Supertuck, Galco Kingtuk, Theis (http://theisholsters.com/), and others.

Good luck and I hope you get it worked out.

i tried it again last night just put it on and walked around the house/garage with it on..and full mag...it did ok but printed badly this ones gonna go in the cabinet thats for sure and ill order a better one...lookin at Crossbreed, Galco King Tuk,and Comp Tac minotaur....and going to get a good belt...havent made my mind up on that one yet either weather i want the Wilderness Tactical or 5.11 but ill figure something out...or ill buy both :D

Crossbreed Supertuck for my G19 and G27 here. Very comfortable and secure. Theis makes great lookalikes.

I use the Wilderness tactical belt and carry my HK45CT in a Raven Concealment Holster. The holster is fantastic and carries my HK better than any Kydex holster I've ever purchased. The only drawback with them is that the holsters are so well made that they fall behind on production. It took me 4 1/2 months to get mine, but it was well worth it. The total cost was about $100, but that was also with mine being made with my Crimson Trace attached to my pistol. Good luck in your search.

I do believe it's federal law that a gun owner has to have at least 20 holsters per gun owned to satisfy the requirements of gun ownership.
