I have an opportunity to buy a E Hartford High Standard Supermatic Citation w/ 2 mags. Serial number SH174XX. Story has it, this pistol was a back up gun for an old Bullseye shooter. He passed away a number of years ago and his widow sold off all his guns. You can tell by the looks of it, that it was a back up gun. Probably 95-96% bluing, most of the bluing is still visible in wear points such as the slide to frame, etc. Checkering on the grips is still crisp and sharp. If I had to guess, I'd say it has less than 2000 rounds shot in it.
I shot it today. 25 yard Rapid Fire Bullseye target, iron sights, and the first five shots landed in the black, and I wasn't really trying that hard. Next five shots, I pulled one but called it. I think this pistol and I could get along real well. But...
Here are my two questions. Estimated value? Can I still get parts?
Thank you in advance for your replies.
