Question for the CAS out there

My question is about the Rossi Ranch rifle. I love it, because it bears a resemblance to Steve McQueen's "mares laig". Is it considered as a legal lever action rifle for CAS matches?

No, not at the SASS-approved level.
It's neither an approved handgun nor allowed as a rifle, since it isn't a rifle.
Local clubs may allow it for main matches AS A HANDGUN.

I read that Steve McQueen took one of the firing guns they used in the series to the range just to see what it felt like to shoot it. Very big kick, lol! I might get one just to play with, probably catch hell with the range safetys at Ft. Hood on whether I can shoot it on the rifle or pistol side, lol!

Take along a printout of something showing that the gun comes that way, so you don't run into any initial problems about having an illegal cut-down 92. :)

They're actually fun, if you keep to light loads.
I have Mare's Legs in .45 Colt & .44-40. I don't hotrod 'em & I wouldn't recommend the .44 Mag for fun.

WHAT??? Would not recommend a 44 mag Mares Leg for fun????

I have never heard of such a thing, The 44 mag Mares leg is a Blast..

Now I will be the 1st to admit I got mine because and Older gentleman Ordered a Puma in 44 mag. After 2 shots he brought it back and Traded it in..

I never seen such a beautiful thing in all my adult life... Well I will admit that I got kicked a couple times when not holding her right.. But it is well worth it.. Sure she kicked and scratched once in a while.. But what fine lady doesn't from time to time...
