Question for our friends in Canada

If I sell a Kadet kit (22lr conversion kit for the CZ) to someone in Canada via UPS or regular mail does it have to be declared in Canada? Problem is I want to insure it for 300 and guy receiving it would like it to be declared for less.
Could anybody explain to me how it works?
Thanks

It is not something that you can just put in the mail and post. Don't do it! Sending major gun parts (barrels, slides etc) across the border is going to require import/export permits, end user certificates and a lot of other red tape. Trying to send it without the proper paperwork is going to get you and the recepient in deep kimchi! You might be best off having someone that is knowledgeable about the regulations handle this transaction for you. Up here in Canada you might want to contact Questar (www.questar.ca) for the straight poop. In all honesty, with all the regulations that have been recently introduced from the US gov't, it likely won't be worth while trying to sell the kit up here. If it was a high dollar item, an antique or rare item then it might be worth trying but for a conversion kit that is available through a Canadian dealer then it won't be worth your effort.

Canada has VERY strict requirements. You can't even send a pump type BB gun if it can make over 500 FPM which almost all of them can. Put it on the CZ forum and sell it in the US.

already have 2 Kadet kits
