Question for CT members

Do any of you know if the M1 carbine is among the guns "banned" under CT's assault prohibition? Went to the CTSP website, where they post statutes. They have a list of specific makes and models, of which the M1 carbine is not listed. But in the general description of "assault" weapons, it seems that this gun could be included. Anybody know for sure?

Call the State Police info line and ask for the Department of Public Safety Firearms Unit at 800.842.0200. The DPS should be able to tell you.

I saw one (and a couple of mini-14s) in a shop in Salem a couple of weeks ago.

I'm pretty sure that any gun that isn't specificaly listed is O.K.
