Question about Wolff spring kit for GP100?

I just bought a brand new GP100 4" SS, I have read some about the wolff spring kit and trigger pull, My question- The spring kit is only good for DA mode correct? I cant see how it could have any effect on the trigger in Sa, I just took my GP apart and lightly stoned and polished the hammer and sear (I wouldn't suggest this to just anyone as you can easily go to far and there is no return)Before doing this my new GP had a small amount of creep in the trigger pull (I am talking Sa mode only, get on the target cock the hammer and slowly squeeze the trigger) I shoot Sa exclusively but like the option of DA, I can definately see the spring kit making a big difference in the DA mode but can't see how it could have any affect at all in SA, Am I wrong? I would be worried about the light springs from Wolff not having enough power to pop harder primers (CCI)

Little to no effect on SA pull. Of the two springs in the kit, the trigger return spring makes the bigger difference. I'm running a medium trigger spring and a medium hammer spring. I used the run the lightest of both, but the lighter trigger spring returned the trigger to slow for fast da work and the lighest hammer spring was too light for consistent operation using CCI primers (component only, factory loaded ammo was 100% functional).

With the lighter spring there is less energy stored to accelerate the hammer toward the primer. If the throw of the hammer travel is the same between SA and DA then the firing pin will strike the primer equally as hard because the hammer will have the same acceleration.

With the lighter spring if you’re having ignition problems try Federal primers. They have worked reliably in my S&W that I reduced the DA pull down to 7# from about 14#. Every second or third shot failed to ignite using Winchester primers. With CCI lucky I got any to fire at all.
