question about "trunk gun"

Anyone here own a trunk gun...like a Kel-Tec Sub-2000? Is it fun to shoot? Reliable? Kinda curious about the ownership experience. The guy at the gun store said he has trouble keeping them in stock because they are so popular.

I found one new in .40 for $399.

I like the keltec, neat little carbine that uses the same mags as my primary CCW. They wholesale for less than $300 so you should be able to do a little better than $340 OTD if you know how.

I usually keep my stainless 10/22 with a folding stock zipped up in a USGI spare barrel bag along with a hundred or so .22 rounds in a freezer bag, and several loaded hi cap mags.

I find myself using it way more than I did for any other long gun I carried in my vehicle. The package is pretty weatherproof and compact enough that it fits under my seat. For a casual plinking session or putting down road kill or feral animals it is just right.

thanks guys...what about recoil (9mm vs 40), etc? Sorry for the questions. I just held one but haven't shot one...yet.

Shop around just picked one up the other day for $299 (9mm, beretta mags) they had Glock and S&W as well - 9mm and 40 - I hit a few pawn shops in Hickory and Asheboro NC and they had them in stock.....I went with the beretta mags as I have ton of them already...they're always on gunbroker as well

Took it to the range, AWESOME GUN!!! well worth the price, quick site in and I was nailing it, very tight groups, peeps were very impressed with it! Not much in the way of recoil but that should not be a surprise..

....I stuck with 9mm due to price and abundance...also my handguns are all 9mm as well, keeps it simple

I am going to do a few upgrades from Red Lion Presision they have some great stuff for it (better front site & and twisting railed hand guard...so I dont have to take off reflex when folded)......also a few items from www.tacticool.com padded cheekrest and padded charging handle

I keep a Stevens 12 gauge side by side with a 20inch barrel behind the back seat of my truck. I keep a few rounds of different kinds if ammo for it so I'm ready to deal with anything.
