Since the regular Skinner 1894 receiver peep sight (not the LoPro) is much higher than the issus sight's line-of-sight, you WILL need a front sight blade appropriately higher than issue height, in order to zero the rifle, or it will shoot too high with the peep all the way "down".
If you ordered your Skinner directly from Skinner, they will also supply you with the proper height front sight blade for about an extra $15.
It's also a good time to consider whether /not you might also want to (at the same time) change the front sight material - you can pick from Ivory bead (fine/coarse), Gold bead (F/C), Fiber-optic (F/C, red or green), vertical white line (XS), or sourdough patridge (Skinner, Marbles, NECG).
BTW - Don't forget to either order a slot filler blank ($6), or file one up from an old longleaf rear sight's male dovetail - to fill the empty rear sight barrel slot.
(You ARE going to remove the rear barrel sight for a clean sight picture, aren't you ?)
