Question about Sig P220

I have read and heard that the newer Sig P220's have a beefed up frame to handle hot ammo. What I need to know is how can you tell if a particular gun is a "beefier" version. The reason I ask is because a local gun shop just got in a very nice P220 for a very good price.

In 1994 around Serial Number G219166, SIGARMS made a few design changes to the P220 including modifying the aluminum alloy frame to better withstand +P ammunition and a 20-22 pound recoil spring with a green paint for easy identification from the older model.
