Question about rings - new Burris Tripler magnifier

Here's the story: I wanted a 3x magnifier to go behind my EOTech 512 on my M4. I wasn't quite willing to shell out $650 or more for an EOTech or Aimpoint magnifier, but at the same time I didn't want to go completely cheap and put a Mako magnifier on an airsoft mount.

So, I waited for the Burris AR-Tripler to come out and jumped on it. Now that I just got it I'm trying to get a flip-to-side mount. I DO NOT want a fixed or quick detach mount, only flip to side. The Tripler uses 30mm rings to mount it, so the Aimpoint type mounts would be the ones to use, I'm liking the Larue Tactical ones. The snag is, the Aimpoint rings aren't 2 piece, and the Tripler has a little bit of a ridge at the end that puts it over 30mm. It's close though, only about the first 3/8". The body is a perfect 30mm, but the bit at the end measured 30.95mm at the most. The guys at Larue were hesitant to sell me one because they weren't sure it would clear. Does anybody have experience with Larue 30mm mounts? I'm mainly wondering how tight they slide over a perfect 30mm body, and if they are roomy enough to squeeze over a 30.95mm edge.
