Question about reduced recoil SG ammo

I just got a SG for HD. Since it is as much for my wife as for me, we took the SG to the range for some practice. I didn't realize my range was "slugs only," and only had 00 ammo with me, so I had to buy some slugs at the range. All they had was Winchester Super X 2-3/4" (1 oz, 1600 fps). Needless to say, this had quite a thump to it. My wife fired two rounds, and that was enough for her.

I have since been looking into reduced recoil slugs and have found some Federal LE that seems to offer reduced recoil (2-3/4", 1 oz, 1145 fps). My long winded, meandering question is this: how much less recoil can I expect with the Federal when compared to the Super X?

Thanks

I have not tried the Federal LE reduced recoil slugs. Have used both the Winchester 1600fps slugs and Remington's LE and Express "Managed Recoil" slugs. About a 30% - 35% in perceived difference to me. The Shotgun used is a Remington 870 with a tricked out 18" barrel (ported, overbored, forcing cones lengthened), Knoxx specops stock (recoil reducing stock) and a Limbsaver recoil pad.
