question about monogrip and full grip?

Hey,

I have been doing some research and can't seem to find the answer I am looking for so hopefully someone can help me out here. For a Taurus 94 9cal small revolver have 2 different style grips? If so what are they and what is the difference between them? I have been searching for some guy the correct answer but cant seem to get it straight. I know there is a boot grip which has a flat bottom and shows the butt of the gun and is the other grip style called a mono-grip or full grip? And a description of that too please. I am confused. So a better understanding would be much appreciated. Thank you

I'm not familiar with Taurus grips specifically, but the term Monogrip is a trade name for a type of one-piece wraparound grip marketed by Hogue. Monogrips are typically installed by slipping an attachment fitting over the grip alignment pins at the base of the revolver's grip frame, sliding the grip unit upwards along the grip frame, and then installing a single screw through a hole in the bottom of the Monogrip and into the attachment fitting. AFAIK all Monogrips cover and lengthen the butt, because this is where the attachment fitting and screw goes.

I don't know about the boot grips; perhaps these are what normally comes on the gun.
 
The monogrip is a type made by Hogue and is available in both soft rubber and various woods (it was also available in nylon at one time by that material may be discontinued). Monogrips come in a couple different shapes depending on whether the revolver has a rounded butt, square butt, or grip stud (this is the type used on Dan Wessons as well as Ruger GP100, Super Redhawk, SP101, and LCR). The grip is called a monogrip because it is one-piece rather than two separate grip panels. The only Hogue revolver grips which do not extend below the bottom of the grip frame are the Bantam grips, all Monogrips attach with a screw in the bottom of the grip which threads into a stirrup that clips onto the bottom of the gripframe.

Boot grip is something of a generic term used by several different manufacturers. Usually, a boot grip is a more compact type generally preferred on revolvers used for concealed carry. While some boot grips do not extend below the bottom of the gripframe, others do.
