I just purchased a NIB Beretta M-9 Limited Edition. I fired it with 50 rounds of German "Geco" brand 124 9mm FMJ. I never heard of this brand, but it looked great and functioned beautifully. It was accurate, reliable and ejection was positve. It accutally felt like NATO ball. I then switched to Fed American Eagle 115 gr FMJ. Although this round was reliable, the pistol seemed to not eject the cases very far. It only flung the casings about 1ft out of the pistol. I didnt have any more 124 gr to try out, but I assume my pistol likes hotter ammo. Could this be the case, or is there a problem with the pistol? Thanks for any input.
