This is a few pics of a old revolver a older gentleman was showing me this AM..he is wanting to sell it...its a 32-20..fairly tight and he has shot it several times..
The pic of the whole gun is missing on my phone ? but it looks like a early ..copy of a S&W or a Colt...Cly. release is under the barrel like a DW..it has proof marks of a a loin and FN,it has a 5 to 5.5 inch barrel and wooded checkered grips.similar to a older S&W

any help would be greatly appreciated

Proof marks are Spanish, It would be nice to see a couple of shots of the complete gun. There was one Spanish maker who used that type of cylinder release but I'll be doggone if I can remember who it was. How ever even with out knowing the maker a few general remarks can be made. It is one of the many imported guns from Spain , imported during the 1920's to the mid 1930's. Many of them were not top on the line guns and have been known to fail. After WWI the Spanish makers of the Eibar region were with out a market. The war was over and their main customer, the French, did not need any more handguns. Exporting to the US opened up a new market. Not all, but most of the Spanish Eibar guns were of very low quality and used soft steel. Only the large established makers such as Llama, Astra and Star had any type of quality control. These no name Eibar guns are a gamble, it may be alright to shoot, or it may be a potential hand grenade. Remember, the 32-20 is not a low pressure round, even the handgun load. I'm sure others will be able to add a bit more valid information.:)

Thanks for the reply..the fellow that owns it has fired about 12 rounds of new production Remington 32-20 Rifle ammo....I told him that might not be a good idea
