I thought it was funny that Quenn latfia was cought with a gun in her car without a license to carry. And tonight on her show she is advocating gun control !
 
You got that right. I just saw a commercial for the program of which you spoke of and it turned my stomach. It is ignorant SOBs like her that are doing the PR work for the Socialist/commie leftwing a$$holes.

Sly Stallone, Billary Clinton, Chuck Schumer, Sarah Brady, Carolyn Mcarthy (feel terrible her husband was killed, but her main objective is banning guns)....Its late, but I'm sure I'm missing a bunch.
 
For the anti gun show she just ran I was flown to new york with my family to be on. In the opening she said we'd be on. As we stood in the doorway back stage waiting to come on Rosie O called and ordered us off. Rosie is Executive producer of the show if you notice.
When the segment opened Latifah had to ignore the teleprompter with our introduction and adlib.
What they ened up with was an 8 year old kid
who took a .380 to school getting to meet Latifah, get an autographed picture, meet a rap star, free t-shirts and CD's among other things. My kid was there and seen in the opening and is the same 8 year old age. He was shown doing it right, never in trouble and well instructed on firearm safety. Latifah never said "boo" to the kid in reality and he was blown off the show and ignored. Seems the 8 year old taking the gun to school was well REWARDED.
While back stage the rap group they had on was on a cell phone trying to get bail reduced for a friend in jail. Some role model eh? At the end Latifah wraps her arounds around him as a prime example of humanity. If you listen to the words of the song he just got done singing you wouldn't agree I'm afraid. I wish they had him pee in a cup to see what color the test papers turned.
One or more of the production staff were in total shock at the fact we got blown off at the last second.
They flew me, the wife, my step-son and my daughter from Pierre SD to NYPD, paid for limo's, hotel and airfare. About $10K worth.
They also had a producer and camera guy at my home and at our range for two full days shooting video. That was dumped except for about 10 seconds of it. Another $3-$5K down the Time-Warner drain.
We were assured the focus was safety and there would be Eddie Eagle safety literature under each seat in the audience. They paid to fly in an NRA rep from national NRA headquarters. NO literature was put out and she was never spoken to. Another $1K or so.
The show was supposed to air on Dec 20th, but it was almost a month late.
The show had a recent firing of over 12 staffers and new blood was brought in from Time-Warner to clean it up faced with bad and declining ratings.
One of those Time-Warner folks said he was shocked at the turn of the show and later told us that the entire show was a major hassle for Time-Warner and they expected massive bad publicity if it ran. If you want visit the Latifah Show web page.

Two Producer and camera guy were New Yorkers and never touched a gun. While here in my home and at the range we got them shooting and they couldn't get enough of it. They said they intended to do more shooting and the camera guy said he was going to start the process to buy a guy.
Guess some good came out of it afterall.
I urge you all to visit her web page and post on thier message board. So far the input isn't very favorable for Latifah who licks Rosie O's boots on this one.
I often turn down offers to do various radio/TV shows for this reason. The anti-gun crowd will spent any amount and go to such extremes to get their point of view over.
If you watch the part where they put the kids in the room with the two guns, the kids were told to go in their and PLAY. The one gun they show was an obvious light plastic TOY and the kids reacted as such. Latifah handed it to the dad and said how cheesy it was but the other one was very very realistic. Strange they didn't display or show that one. The reason is that it was a twin in type and style etc. THAT is why it wasn't shown.

Hmmm . . . QL gets busted for illegal carrying of a firearm and Rosie has the balls (in this case - no balls) to produce QL's show. Ain't that a BEAWTCH!

Two faced hyprocrites. I bet Rosie's bodyguard got a gat . . . or is he going to use profanity to defend Rosie and her two ill-gotten adopted children.

Most have armed bodyguards and professional security to guarrantee their safety.

The average joe like us has to be responsible for our own security. If guns are outlawed we will be the ones whos safety is in peril.

Showbiz types like Queen Latiffa, want to get the most publicity bang for the buck, and at ther moment being anti gun is the way to go. roll eyes smile

Its easy to live in a million dollar mansion with 15 foot security fences and have a 30 man security force. I wonder if all these Celebs would rally for a gun ban if they lived in a rough inner-city neighborhood with nothing but a sheetrock wall seperating them from a gang of criminals??
 
Who is left? I think you just named 80% of Hollywood. Are there any PRO-gun people, besides Mr. Heston? I know there are a few, but I think we are outnumbered.
I seem to remember a story about Jane Fonda calling the police one night. I don't remember the details, but she had a handgun, and the officer asked about the gun and her position on gun control. She said that applied to everyone else, not her. That pretty much says it all.
 
That's not just celebrities. My aunt was the same way. She's always been something of a flake. She and my mother were sisters, and they each married one of a pair of brothers. So my uncle was my dad's brother, and they both grew up shooting, fishing, trapping, etc. She wouldn't let my uncle have a gun for the longest time, but he did get her to accept having a revolver in the house for awhile when he worked nights. She still hated guns and made a big show of not EVER touching the evil thing, and telling my mom how stupid she was to let dad keep guns in our house.

Well, one night she heard someone outside, so she took the revolver out, cocked the hammer, and sat for ten minutes with her finger on the trigger on the phone with the cops. The cop arrived (found no one) and she met him at the door with the revolver pointed at his face, single action, finger on trigger!

That cop, mom, dad and uncle John took turns chewing her hypocritical ass for that one for awhile. She never did go to the effort of learning to shoot. She couldn't even let the hammer down on that revolver. Uncle John got rid of it for fear she'd do it again.

Vanessa Williams was mentioned in the list-- I happened to see an old Playboy Magazine interview she did (April 1997)and yes, I do read the articles (after the important stuff). In the interview, after admitting the appeal of shooting a handgun for the movie Eraser, she goes on: Playboy- If it were legal,would you carry a handgun?
VW- No,never. I know people who have guns in their houses, and I think that's ridiculous. These people have kids. The kids are going to find the guns. If someone's going to break in, he is going to break in. There's a phone- call 911. You can get out of the house. Having a gun in the home is a mistake; it's a time bomb waiting to explode. You can keep it unloaded, but what's the point of that if something happens?

Latifah in arabic means kind. So IMO she is suppose to be Queen of Kindness. But one look at her you can judge otherwise !
