Quality cleaning mat?

Best mat I have found are cheap rubber Welcome mats sold at home supply and farm supply stores. They are impervious to solvents and spills wipe up with a rag. Just flip it over so the Welcome side is down. Some of the cheap generic vinyl auto floor mats work well also.

I use a large bath towel. When it gets dirty the wife "renews it" in the washer. Very reasonable.

This is what I do. Normally it's the wife that asks me, "are you ever going to wash that thing" :D. I say yep here ya go. Easiest and cheapest gun cleaning mat. Have used it for years.

I use a retractable cargo cover from a 1986 Subaru 4wd wagon. It's lined vinyl and makes a great table protector after you cut away the roller, handle, etc. Someone you know has a cargo shade taking up space in the garage.

This is my SX-1 getting a new buffer and springs.

A couple years ago around this time(end of season) I got a good deal on a couple of BBQ grill mats.Works great, soft won't scratch anything and plastic on the bottom spill something doesn't leak thru.

Small excercise mat like you would find at Academy Sports. They are durable, thick, parts don't roll around very easy, won't hurt the finish on your gun and you can roll them up for storage. Also, they are fairly cheap at around $25.
