Python rattle?

Months back I bought a 1970's vintage Python, and everything is fine with it. However, when I shake it, I can hear something rattling. Actually, it's more like a ringing sound of some small part. I tried holding the cylinder, the trigger, the hammer and the cylinder release lever, but the ringing is still there. If I put the gun in full cock position, the ringing goes away.

Is this normal? If not, what part should I be looking at?

Thanks for any replies.

Had a similar problem, not with a Python but with a S&W Model 29. Took it to the smith I use. He checked it out and told me it was the hammer block. Checked the pistol over and gave it a clean bill of health. Have shot many rounds through it with no problem. Still rattles.
I don't know if this is the same issue as you have. I'm sure others may have alternative solutions.
If your not comfortable with it, I'd recommend a quick once over by a gunsmith.

I think maybe I'd have this looked at. I just checked all my Colts and none of them make a sound. It's possible something is loose inside.
