Python prices going up?

Last year I was bitching about the high price of vintage Pythons, but bit the bullet and bought a fired nickel 6" for $750. Then I got the bug to have an unfired 6" nickel NIB, and got it for $890. Now I'm seeing NIB or "test-fired" blued Pythons going for almost $900. Are they going up in price and, if so, why? Are the new custom shop ones just that more expensive?

Quality guns never go down in price, only up. The new Python's are going to sell for an arm, leg, and left you-know-what.
I see some Python Elete's online for $1200.00 and up.

When I first lusted, I decided not to pay those OUTRAGOUS prices for a new Python. The price at that time was.......$120.00.
That was the 60's.
