Pyrodex® is a propellant designed for use in muzzleloading and black powder cartridge arms found by a competent gunsmith to
be in good shootable condition. Pyrodex is currently available in three loose grades and four different sized pellets:

RS (Rifle/Shotgun, a 2F equivalent)
P (Pistol, a 3F equivalent)
Select (a premium 2F equivalent)
Pellets, 50 Caliber / 50 Grains Volume Equivalent
Pellets, 50 Caliber / 30 Grains Volume Equivalent
Pellets, 54 Caliber / 60 Grains Volume Equivalent
Pellets, 44 Caliber / 30 Grains Volume Equivalent

Pyrodex has many advantages over black powder. You get many more shots per pound, a much cleaner burn which alleviates
fouling and the need to clean between shots, consistent pressures and velocities. When loaded as recommended, performance is
comparable to black powder.
