PX4 question

I've got a new in box PX4 Compact and the slide to frame fit is pretty loose. The play is side to side and if you push it all the way to one side, there is 1mm gap between the slide rail and the frame rail (I measured). It is enough that when the slide is to the right side, the hammer hits the slide as it goes forward into the slot in the slide where it engages the firing pin. Is this normal for the PX4 and common, or is it a problem. I have a lot of handguns and none come close to this much play in the slide/frame fit.

I don't know if it's normal or not but mine is very tight all around.

To me that just doesn't sound like a normal Beretta.

My full size has a tiny bit of side-to-side play, but not nearly what you're describing. The hammer doesn't even come close to hitting the slide when the slide is pressed to either side.

I have a compact in 9 mm. It is nowhere near as loose as you are describing. Doesn't sound right to me at all.
