Alright, I'm simply pi$$ed about the state of our government. Recently we have seen:
1. The federal government deny the right of gun ownership of any citizen in the U.S.A. (The EMERSON case)
2. The violation of law regarding disposal of NICS documents and background check information (RENO, et al)
3. Loss of due process and "turn in your neighbor" laws in CT
4. Persecution of an author for "Unintended Consequences" by the BATF.
5. BATF intervention in the Maadi-Griffin case
Folks, it's getting pretty bad out there. I've made a decision:
I'm going to do everything I can to support RKBA. Today, instead of renewing my NRA annual membership, I became a LIFE MEMBER. I'm a member of GOA, and now need to become a member of the SAF. Listen folks, we can whine and whine about this stuff and day and night, or we can get involved! I've written to my congressman and senators MONTHLY about HOSTETLLER, et al. I'm a registered voter. Although I am a Keyes supporter, I'm a realist. Bush is the only RKBA person out there that has a chance. A vote for anyone else could cost us another election, which we cannot afford. Please people, let's make a difference this year. If we don't accomplish something this election, there won't be another chance. For God's sake, people are talking about burying their rifles in PVC tubing in Kalifornia!!! Let's get going!!! We can make a difference!!!
Oh, BTW, I did my Life Membership on installment payments. $25.00 a quarter. If you've got cable TV, you can afford this. If you buy a box of ammunition a month, you can afford this. YOU CANNOT AFFORD not to do this. And sign up a friend as well. Take a friend to the firing range and educate them on gun ownership. Put the NRA and GOA sticker on your car, and don't sweat whether someone is going to look at you funny or break into your car. JUST DO IT! If we're not willing to break a sweat, take a chance, and stand for our rights, we'll lose them. We need a firearms "outing" in this country to get people to come out of the closet and admit that they are normal people who own firearms. Stand for your rights, don't be ashamed of them!
Now, go put your money where your mouth is...
