I found it on sale and it appears to be a sort of FO single dot sight that makes big claims about improved and intuitive aiming.

Might even be a variation on a gutter sight design. Hard to tell for me.

Ever heard of them and do they work?

I have not used one.
I have seen one in use. It did not impress me, but I don't know how well the shooter would have done with conventional sights.

I'm going with "Gimmick" on this one

I see no way how it's an improvement over a traditional high visibility sight, and I CAN see how it could be less accurate

At any distance where it may be useful, you'd do just as well with no sights at all
