Purchasing an AK

I'm really interested in getting a AK 47. A quick search turned up the Tula Arsenal Marked AK 47 and the WASR 10.

Anyone have experience with either of these rifles? Any others you would recommend?

Thanks

If its your first ak and your on a budget I would recommend the wasr10. Many people bad mouth these rifles but if you inspect them then you could find a good reliable rifle.

Wasr 10 is a bargain if the magazine well will fit a 30 round mag tightly and with very little wobble. Side to side is ok, but front to rear is no good. Also look at the lineup of the barrel from the rear of the gun and also if there is any cant in the sight line up. They can be crooked when not seated properly. If those 2 issues check out you should have decent AK especially for the money they command. Good luck.

Ive had a wasr 47 and am shooting a wasr 74 version now, awsome rjfles but as the others posted, inspect them before buying some are better then others. Another possability, and my recomendation to consider, is the polish tantal, built by century also, possibly some other makers not sure though. Folding stock fun rifles, shoots the 74 ammo and uses the mags. Great shooting fun gun for under $450 about anyplace. Im a huge ak fan so I think youll enjoy the heck out of what ever you go with.
