Pump Rifle in .357Mag

I don't get it, it makes no sense. There are no pump rifles chambered in .357Mag. (The only one's I've read about are the Timberwolfs from Israel Arms) and I can't find them!

So I'm hoping Taurus, Winchester etc.. is reading this, or someone reading this works there or is buddybuddy with someone somewhere and has influence...

I want to go maybe hunt some groundhogs or something like that. The .22's don't do it. Taurus has a .22Mag, but sometimes if the game is a bit bigger, you can't do it with a .22Mag. When I go hunting, I'd love to carry say an 8 shot 357Mag pump rifle. I have never been able to work a lever action well..

But the thing is, I can then carry my 357Mag Revolver as my side, and then carry the pump rifle, and use the same bullets! Then I don't have to carry two types of rounds, plus, a 357Mag pump is just something I feel everbody would love to have...

That goes for a .44Mag pump rifle as well. I see these rifle calibers, and some of them are Civil war rounds. Some of them I can't even buy at my local gun store..

So if anybody is listening out there, I'm sick and tired of trying to find a Timberwolf (which I hear isn't all that accurate anyways) so someone make a pump .357Mag and .44Mag PLEASE!

Hate to bother you but I just looked at a used Timberwolf last month in .357 for $350. They had a half dozen .44 mags due in this month but they told me they were going to sell them for $700. Both of the guys working the store owned one of the rifles and told me they worked great but were not very accurate. How about Rugers autoloader in 44 mag?

Well, there seems to be something you are not understanding..

_I_ live in Southern California, LA county. See, women might be from Venus, but LA City council members are from the pits of hell.

Hmm. Does this mean I'm going to have to drive up to Sacremento to buy a gun??

The other thing is, I keep hearing owners tell me they aren't too accurate, what are we talking about, Minute of Pie-Plate @ 100yards???

These aren't handguns Albert. You can do a FFL to FFL transfer with your local shop. I cannot believe Turner's doesn't have these things in from time to time. The Ruger Deerfield carbine goes for about $450. They must have those down there. MWT

How much do they weigh?

Yes, they aren't handguns, but you've obviously haven't been following the saga that is LA county. We now require fingerprinting and 15 day waiting period for AMMO.

Also, there's ban on 85% of the so called "rifle caliber" ammo's. That includes 357's and 44's because they can be shot out of a rifle, or someone (Marlin) currently manufactures a rifle for that caliber.

Further, they are voting on diameter size of bullet as a limit, and talking about basically .22's and 9mm's being the limit. 10mm (.40's) are being proposed for LEO only..

Time to send the LA city council empty ammo casings...

I can more than likely FFL to FFL transfer, but then I'd have to pony up the transfer fee. Also, I know the people at Turners on a first name basis. None of them have it. I've called every one of them. They all know I'm looking for one.

LA county isn't the only game in town, chief. There's a whole slew of gun stores in Orange and San Bernardino counties. You don't have to tell them where you're from to buy ammo.
