pulled the trigger on a 44-40... WOW!!!

old ( 1970's ) H Schmidt revolver that was deactivated for use as a stage prop, my buddy brought back to life for his own use, & later... just sold it to me...

he made the cylinder & swapped barrels, as it was originally chambered in 357 magnum... gun has a brass grip frame, he made the wood grips, has a 7 .5" barrel... & shoots incredibly nice... he had to add a spring to the firing pin, & make it into a rebounding firing pin, but it looks pretty "Coltish"

almost can't miss with it using the last of his handloads...

just starting to collect the reloading stuff... makes me wish I'd gotten one lots sooner

might put it up as a back up gun for Cowboy use

I'll post some pics.... but she's nothing to look at ( looks very vintage ) the pretty is on the inside ;) grips look nice though... & it shoots great
