PTR-91 question:

I have the chance to purchase a PTR-91 for $950. It is a standard model, built on a PTR receiver. It was assembled by Investment Grade Firearms in Arkansas. It is newly completed. The internals are all matching original HK-91 pieces, the barrel as well.

Does anyone have any experience with these rifels? Is this a decent price?

I have never seen one until today and I am wondering if I should jump on this deal befor it goes away!
 
Jason at Investment builds great guns. However the H&K 91 is not everyones cup of tea. If built right it will be very relieable ,but have just so so accuracy . IMHO you need to shoot it and a AR10 type rifle and see what floats your boat. the AR10 is much more accurate . Also CDNN has NIB PTR 91's for $899.99 . with a warrentee.:D
 
GONIF, thanks for the reply. There is one for sale on our local email board. I have never seen a PTR-91 and was wondering if this is a good deal. It would be a local FTF purchase and I am curious if I should spend some bucks for it. I am not really in the market for anything like this, but I would hate to say ..."I could have picked one of those up for $950 a few years ago."

I think I may ask the guy if we can meet an I can look at it. I have only seen a picture.
 
Decided against this rifle. It seems like i am more inclined to like the M1A as a .308/7.62. Guess I will Save my $ for one of those. Thanks for the info.
