pt92 trigger problem

am not sure of how to explain the problem but here goes.

i know that it's supposed to be a single action/double action pistol. now sometimes when i pull the trigger (in double action mode) the hammer just stays in place and the trigger just goes through without engaging even when the safety is applied. what exactly did i break and what needs to be done? can anyone help please? thanks a million! :)
 
If you cock the hammer back and pull the trigger does every think work like normal. I got to ask did you disassemble the pistol and not put all the springs back in the right sports. Alittle more information will be good. But sounds like either a spring problem or a disconnector problem.
