Proud parent of two new guns

I got my first two guns today, as which Gunslinger set out to find me one and came home with two, he decided it wasn't safe to take me to gunshops, too many toys for a women to buy. He just took me today and didn't let me know where we was going but when we pulled up at the first gunshop I knew what he was doing, since I have been trying to find a Taurus 92 but wasn't sure if I wanted a blued one or a stainless, so I really wanted to find a gun shop that showed me both of them together and we did find a gun shop that offered that, so I chose the Taurus 92 stainless, it wasn't new but it was just like new, it had been shot very few times, so I told him that would be my birthday present so we left there and went to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription and had to wait for it, so he decided to take one more stop at a close by gunshop, and lord and to behold they had a Browning Buckmark 5.5 bull barrel and I just had to have that one too, so I decided that would complete a nice birthday which isn't here yet but will be real soon, and this was brand new at half the price and also they had a genuine leather motorcycle jacket with fringe for $35, like new and I just had to have it. So now you know why its not safe for me to go to gunshops. LOL At one of the gunshops we went to, they had brand new Smith & Wessons and the guy there was trying to sell them to me and I just flat told him I wouldn't buy one if they were $10.00 and he knew right then I was serious about that and he didn't say no more about me getting a new Smith & Wesson. I am e-mailing Smith & Wesson and telling them I purchased two new handguns and neither one was a Smith & Wesson. So I will be going to the range real soon and trying these out so for the ones thats coming to the End of Summer meet I will be good on them. For someone not only 8 mos. ago, wasn't anti but I was very gun shy, I was always raised around guns, just for hunting, but over the years got very scared of them, don't really know why, its just one of those things that happens and now I'm buying my own guns and proud of it, this is a big adjustment for me in a short time.

WHATTA WOMAN! My wife finally shot her Browning Silver Chrome tonight, after owning it for months. I finally threatend to shoot it first to get her back into the swing. I think she's ready to go shopping for the mate the practical! Terri, go shoot those toys and buy some more (not SW) Let them know too. We will be shopping for more toys too. Don't need no stinkin smart gun, just need one that spits lead everytime I pull the trigger!

I get giddy all over whenever I make a new acquisition, and still remember how it felt to hold that first gun in my hand, and it's still my favorite. Jedi and I were hoping to get shotguns soon but house repairs ate all our gun money :(.

Go shoot some rounds for me! :)

Reminds me of the first time I took my wife into my "new" favorite gun store. I had been in a few times, and had mantioned to my wife, who is also a "gun nut", about how nice it was. Took her over there, and she ended up leaving with a new Ruger Super Redhawk in .44 Mag AND a nice Desert Eagle in .44 Mag. She likes 'em big! Every now and then she'll let me shoot 'em.

Well I haven't named them yet, haven't really gave it any thought yet, not over the excitement yet. I don't know about making Gertie a aunt, I think it might be ex-wife or maybe since she's the new addition to the family, she's the new bride and I'm the ex-wife. LOL

This new year has brought alot of things to my life I thought would never happen so quickly, got seriously into guns and going to be a grandma, don't know if I can handle all of this at once, oh yea I forgot I also get the honor of meeting several of the TFLer's this year at the End of Summer Meet in August. :)

Bruce in West Oz, hey come to the meet which we would love to have you and I will let you shoot my new Buckmark. :)
