Proper paint touch up for white dot sites

Is there a special or proper paint that is used to touch up or "refresh" the typical white dot sights that are starting to grey/darken?

Tried cleaning them up but I need more brightness.

Make a recommendation.

Thanks

white paint for sights

The paints that are used on the sights are nornally baked on finishes. Regular paint yellows and does not last long. You can try model airplane lacquer paints or the whiteout. There are two types solvent and water. Use the solvent type it lasts longer.

Dear Sir:
The best to use is the "white epoxy" mix. It stays forever - I like a black rear and white front dot.

They make paint that comes in a paint stick that works very well. You can get a two pack that comes in a white and a flourescent color is you want. You can also get the epoxy paint like Harry is talking about from Brownells, they sell a Glow Sight paint kit or just the white paint.

Pretty darn expensive compared to Testors model paint though...
