ProMag's Hi-cap Mags for Glocks

Anyone have any experience (good, bad, or other) with them?

I'm looking at some 15-rounders for my new G19 and am hoping for some word before I pull the trigger on the deal.

Thanks.

The ones for the G17 are JUNK. Don't waste your money on anything other than factory mags. If you're buying it just for range use, it's OK, but promags generally suck.

There are two types of Promag Glock mags.

The first is all plastic and are total junk. They are very thin and have witness holes in the back. If you see these, you'll know, cause they look REALLY cheap.

The second type are made like the factory Glock mags, with a metal insert inside. These are heavy (like the original Glock mags) and have no witness holes.

I have three of the second type of Promags and they have worked fine. I used two of them for a 300 round class and they never even blinked. For the $30 that these mags usually cost, I think they are a pretty good deal.

Go to Glocktalk.com and ask.

ProMags are fine for single stacks but I've had problems with their double stacks for Sigs.

Save your money and buy the factory Glocks at a gun show.

The general concensus is that Pro Mags suck. That said, the six that I have for my Glock 19s (one lined, five unlined) function flawlessly. Guess I got lucky.

I've had 14 (six for my 17/34 and eight for my 19) of the steel lined polymer mags made by Pro-Mag for a couple of years.

They have all been reliable for me. The original springs were a little wimpy and I replaced them after about six months with Wolff brand springs. Other than that, they have been trouble free.

I have 2 of the all plastic mags for my G19 and I can't even fill them up all the way because the top will widen and quickly spit most of the rounds out. I do however use them for target practice with only ten rounds because my factory hi-caps are too precious to use that often.
