Promags for SIG 226

Can anyone here report on these mags? I need a couple for range use, not for carry, and am thinking of buying a couple from CDNN Investments. Are you experienced?

My 15 round 9mm mags for the P226 work great. On the other hand they were the first Promags I ever owned. Without exception every other Promag I have purchased is a piece of dung. particularly avoid the .40 S&W mags for the MK40 Kahrs.

If you buy the Promags and then have a problem with them, when the factory gets them they will destroy them and send ten round magazines as replacements because of California State law. Also they won't tell you this, if you should happen to contact them, until after the magazines have been destroyed.:(

I have a couple or Promags for my Beretta 92.
A buddy of mine purchased them for me as a favour- Due to the capacity laws here.
I find that they are somewhat rougher to load than the stock mags, but feed okay.
Brian- Thanks for the Mags!
-Now I just get blisters from loading the darned things!-;)

I've had consistent FTF problems with ProMags in my SIG P229/.40. I have never had so much as a hiccup with factory mags. The problem appears to be weak springs, and perhaps the feed lip configuration.

Some folks have had good results with ProMags right out of the box; others have been able to tune up defective mags; still others can't get them to work no matter what they do. My experience has been that it is not worth the time and money needed to correct them. The best that can be said about ProMags is that they are a gamble -- sometimes you win and sometimes you lose.

I have ProMags for both my 226 and 228. They work fine, but I agree about the whimpy springs. Quick fix is to order some replacement springs from Wolffe's [http://www.gunsprings.com/] in either +5% or +10% (you can get real anal and order SIG followers from SIGARMS if you want to), last I looked they were $48 for 6. Good shootin'.
