Promag Pre-ban for CZ-75

Well, I finally received the said magazine. It seems pretty well-made, except for one thing. The spring is considerably shorter than that found in a pre-ban factory magazine.

Now I see what some folks mean by "wimpy" springs in Promags. Has anyone tried replacing the "wimpy" spring with a factory one to see how it functions?

I noted the same thing on mine. It seems to work okay though. I had 1 failure to feed in 200rds. with mine so far. I dunno if it was the mag`s fault or not. If it becomes a problem I figure I`ll replace the spring with one from Wolff. Marcus

Figures...

Why does Promag produce sound magazine body, follower and baseplate, yet package the whole sha-bang with an inferior spring?

My guess is that Promags would fetch higher prices if they came with better springs like Mec-Gars.
