Prohibited knife carry in Ca?

I saw on another thread where they mentioned that it was a felony charge to carry a knife concealed in the great state of California?

Anybody else hear this? Did our great rulers take away another right of ours?

Only applies to dirks/daggers (aka fixed blade knifes) Do what I do, just get a folder and your ok.

Not saying I agree with the law, just how to get arround it.

Folding knife with single-edged blade under 4" in length is legal and not considered a concealed weapon.

I used to be able to carry these onto planes as well before 9/11.

CWL:

Please point me to the state law that limits folders to 4". I don't believe that it exists. At least it didn't one-year ago. Some localities may limit size.

If you can afford it, look at a Strider AR or GB.

If you can't... Emerson, Microtech and Spyderco are good. Spyderco perhaps being the best for the $.

But the Strider knives are on a level of their own... If I could only carry a manual folder (no fixed blade, no auto) then I'd save up for one of those bad boys. They are massive and have a lifetime warranty.

I withdraw my comment about 4" blades being legal. I incorrectly combined CA carry rules with pre-9/11 FAA laws.
