After buying a tin of 440 rounds of surplus ammo I went to the range today. I actually feel like I'm finally making progress. I only shot 16 rounds (my wife decided that she was ready to give my rifle a try so she fired the other 4 of 20 rounds) but 11 of those were in the black.
The progress part is that I was not modifying my aim point. I was shooting at the center of the target and hitting the center of the target. The few I missed I knew I yanked the trigger or took a breath mid squeeze as soon as the bullet went down range.
Also pretty sure I have my .22 Remington rifle zeroed in as well. All in all it was a pretty good day for boosting the self confidence of a beginning shooter.
Monday we'll take the pistols out so they don't get jealous.
