Problems with Ramline Exactor pistol..

Recently purchased an originial Exactor pistol NIB- took it to the range and it would not fire half the rounds when fed one at a time. With a mag in, it would stove-pipe the next live round, if it did happen to fire a round at all. Any help, suggestions, or information will be greatly appreciated. I know this is no Mark 2 or Browning, but it is a light(20 oz) and neat pistol that I hope to get working properly. Gunhound

OUCH!
You should have kept it NIB.
The Exactor never did get all the bugs out of it, and the chances of finding parts is pretty much zero.

Stovepiping can be caused by several things, but I think the first thing I'd look at would be the magazine.
Sounds like the mag might be releasing the round too soon.
*assuming the live round is point up.*

My advise?
Clean it up REAL well, put it back in the box and NEVER shoot it again. It's too rare for range use. (IMHO etc.)
