I purchased a Ciener conversion kit for my 92 and 96 Berettas yesterday and I am having some trouble with it's installation. the kit goes on the frame ok, but when I try to rotate the disassembly latch to the locked position, it will only rotate about half way and doesn't lock. The slide feels to be securely in place and appears to function correctly. I have triple examined the kit to make sure it's properly assembled before sliding it in place and there doesn't appear to be any damage to the kit. Any ideas? I have tried it on 2 of my 96's with the same result. the kit just doesn't appear to allow the disassembly latch to rotate enough to lock. I am going to call Ciener tomorrow, but I was wondering if any of you had any ideas. All help appreciated.
**This is something that I just discovered also. I tried the kit on my 96 Centurion and my 92FS and disassembly latch will only close and lock on the 92FS. I thought the frames were the same on the 92FS and 96. The kit is marked for 92/96 Berettas.
