Problem withe setting up a new LNL AP

I have my new press mounted and am putting it together. When I put a shell plate on I have a problem. The ram will go up and advance but it will not come down and advance. It binds up. The press is brand new. the shell plates were used with my old LNL. Could it be that the old shell plates wont work with the new press??
 
Is the old press in reference a projector series? If so, the plate will not work. You can use new LnL plates on projector presses but not the other way around.
 
The old style plates won't work on the newer presses. You can send your old ones to hornady and they will machine them for you at a nominal fee. Contact customer service for more information...Illini
