Gentlemen
A friend has a blued P95 9mm and he finally located and bought a new 15 round factory magazine for it. At a recent range session the magazine started popping loose and sliding down just enough so that the next round would not feed. When initially inserted in to the pistol you can hear a solid "click" and the mag seems secure. Upon firing, the mag then comes loose as described. I had a second friend who was present with his stainless P95 try the magazine. The mag worked flawlessly in his pistol. I then thought that perhaps the blued P95 had a worn mag catch or mag catch spring. However the blued P95 works flawlessly with four other mags, albeit ten rounders. This semms to rule out the worn mag catch/spring theory. Does anyone have any idea of what the problem could possibly be?
To recap: The 15 round magazine is new, the blued P95 is relatively new, the magazine in question works fine in the stainless P95, and all the other magazines (ten rounders) work fine in the blued P95. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any and all thoughts, ideas, proposed solutions, etc.
