Problem with glock 29.

I have a problem with a glock 29 I recently purchased, and have only put around 100 rounds thru. The first 50 rounds or so I shot previously, I had no trouble with. I was shooting PMC ammo over the weekend, and the last shell in the magazine failed to eject each time I finished off a magazine. I switched to some hydrashock ammo I had, and the same thing happened.

I'm going to clean and relubricate the gun again, but it appears the back end of the last round's shell is getting stuck in the chamber grooves.

Anybody had this happen before?

Not sure what you mean by chamber grooves, but I did have a problem with my 29 failing to eject. The spent case was getting stuck under the extractor because the "wrong" ejector had been installed. This very board pointed me to the problem. If you remove the slide and look at the ejector and it is marked 4340, bingo, there is your problem. You need to install the 8196 ejector. Either return it to Glock or order the part from Glockmeister for $12 and install it yourself. It is a very simple operation.

Another way to ID the wrong ejector is if it is straight, it's wrong. If it angles inward towards the center line of the gun, it's the right part.

Seems to be a common complaint with the 29, but easily fixable. Not sure why Glock hasn't fixed the problem permanently.

Thanks for the info. I checked the ejector number and sure enough it was a 4340; so I am working on getting it replaced with the 8196 ejector.

One additional question, I called up glockmeister, and asked for the 8196 ejector. They said I needed to order the 8203 trigger housing with ejector(8 bucks), and that the number '8196' would be on the part . I did this and received it in the mail. The package says 8203 allright, but there is no number whatever stamped on the part. I was wondering where you got the "8196" number for the ejector, as I checked glockmeister, and there does not appear to be such a partnumber.

Thanks for any info.

I just checked the ejector on my G30 (which has the same ejector as the G29). Right there on the ejector is "8196-2".
