Problem or no?

I've been lurking for a while and I've decided to join, I've been looking into getting a .22 wheel gun for quite some time and academy (a sporting-goods store down here in the south) decided to run the heritage rough rider on sale for black friday.

and despite being a cheap gun, it doesn't feel flimsy or like it will break when I pull the trigger, and it would look so much nicer if they didn't put lawyer speak on the side of the barrel and on the frame. and the trigger pull isn't as nice as some of my rifles.

Over all I like it a lot for my first handgun.

Some of my rifles, and well shotgun.

What concerns me about the handgun, is while I was cleaning it the other day I've noticed that theirs a lot of what appears to be powder residue in the throat, and it doesn't seem like it's going to clean out without pulling the barrel off. is this normal or will it effect the accuracy of the gun? I've probably put around 400 round through it.

My Rough Rider probably has close to 15,000 rounds through it. For cleaning, I've never done anything but scrub it with a brass "toothbrush" and run a borebrush through the barrel and the cylinder chambers.

it'll be fine :)

Welcome y'all. Never had a Heritage but handled a few. Reminds me of my first .22 convertable, the Kimel Western 6. Inexpensive but sturdy. I shot many a 500 round box of Wildcats through her in my youth.

Enjoy.
