Pro Mag magazines

Can anyone give any feedback on Pro Mag magazines. The mag I use costs 32 bucks from the factory. I have noticed that the Pro Mag is any where from 10 to 15 bucks less, depending on where you buy it. Cheaper is not always better, right?

Very true. others will voice opinions but my experience with pro-mags has not been good. I think you will find that the factory mags or perhaps Mecgars are the best choice. Yes they cost more but having a mag that doesn't work is about as useless as it gets. Try one if you wish, maybe it will work for, but better to have 2 that work than a dozen that are less than perfect. Magazines must be perfect. YMMV and IMHO.

In general, they suck.

Their plastic 9mm AR magazines seem to function ok as rangemags even though I had one of them crack, and I've heard rumblings that their M1 carbine mags may not be as bad as the rest of their product line. But as a general rule, they are terrible.

Not a highly rated magazine. I have one for my AR-15 and plan on using it strictly as a range mag. The best pistol mags out there are Mec-Gar, bar none. They make mags for a very large variety of factory pistols and are OEM.

I JUST bought one for my Kel-Tek P-11 this past weekend. I haven't used it yet (live fire) but have a few observations: It is a little longer than the factory magazine bu about 1/8". The plastic on the end-plate isn't the only reason, the metal portion is simply longer. And, getting the 1st round in it requires a little finesse. Other than that, it seems to solidly latch in place and feeds (manually) fine. I will post how it works the next time I make it to the range (given the weather, it WON'T be soon).

I paid $22.00 + tax for it.

Pro mag for mini-14

I bought 4 promag 20 round mags for my Mini-14. 2 work and 2 do not, seems to me you get a 50/50 chance at getting one that works

With magazines I've found that the original gun manufactures products generally seem to work best - with the possible exception of Wilson Combat mags for 1911's.
