Pro guns missing a chance

While watching some of the coverage of the San Bernardino shooting on MSNBC the commentator (Rachael Madow) listed all the mass shootings in the last year or so. What she didn't mention was the shooting in Garland TX. Why? Because there was a good guy there with a gun (a cop on security detail) who took out the bad guys before they ever got inside. True he was a trained professional but it shows what happens when the bad guys aren't the only ones with guns.
One cop with his service piece took out two bad guys with their dreaded assault rifles. I think this should be mentioned more in the pro gun discussions. Preferably on a national shows. JMHO

Do you live in a dream world? The media has their own agenda and it does not match with ours yet they are so foolish to think that their freedom of the press will be a right that they will have by some magic act.

Uhm, I think you missed my point. I don't expect the media (except Fox) to bring this up, that's why it is up to the pro gun people to work extra hard to point this out any way and any where they can. I guess it would be a better story if it was a 70 year old pistol packing granny that took them out but it is what it is.

Nor would she mention the case of Dr. Lee Silverman who shot a rampage killer at the beginning of the rampage.

That's a civilian success story.

There are many many police officers that support armed citizens.

There are sheriff departments that have requested licensed gun owners to carry in the last few days, (not just Arpaio)... Only to be met with media criticism.

I'm really not sure where they find these police officials that denounce civilian carry, I guess some localities police chiefs are political positions.

I know of a farmer that took out a person with his hunting rifle (the farmers) that murdered a trooper in a traffic stop.

I know of a rampage shooter in a trailer park that was taken out by an armed citizen. The shooter was also engaged in a gunfight with a lone officer, the citizen joined the officer and got him., he was honored locally, but that's it.

We have to recognize that the media is virulently anti-gun, and will obfuscate, lie, cheat, and deny any opposing view to promote their agenda.

It's not journalism, folks, it's a planned campaign.

Even if they ran a clip about a pro-gun statement or two, the clean-cut urban professional in the suit from the Brady Campaign will be before and after the short clip of the bearded, pot-bellied gun owner with the skull-and-crossbones hat.

Watch it with the comments on beards and bellies. On the other hand, I was wearing professional jacket and tie when I got on TV to talk up campus carry.

I do see the selective media stories, though.
