Fellow sysadmins may be familiar with Dantz Development Corp or Orinda, CA. They make the very popular "Retrospect" backup software for the PC and Mac.
I just received my latest update along with a new manual. While looking through the manual, I find the following names in their "examples" chapter:
A tcp/ip client named "Bob Lee Swagger
A startup volumn named "sabot"
A backup set named "Bedford Forest"
A local desktop named "Bearing arms"
Plus a long list of clients named for great generals down through history - Alexander, Bonaparte, Charlemagne, Hannibal, etc.
Another example screen shows a list of clents that begins with "Wiskey Rebellion" and ends with "Waco" with names like "Sand Creek" in between - a sad list of government action against its own citizens.
If anyone from Dantz is reading this - hats off! Fine software obviously written by fine people.
