Alert -- Gun Control petition removed from i-Charity!!

Activism/Chapters Breaking News Announcement
Source: Second Amendment Sisters
Author: Second Amendment Sisters
Posted on 02/09/2000 11:33:42 PST by PistolPaknMama

To quote our Texas State Coordinator "if you can't stand the gunfire, get
off the range," the gun control petition on the i-Charity site hosted by the
Million Mom marchers has been removed.

As you know, the Second Amendment Sisters are hosting a pro-Second Amendment
petition on the same site which was side-by-side to the anti-gun Million Mom
March petition. Since October the Million Mom Marchers managed to garner 30
signatures. Our pro-Second Amendment hit the web with a fury and in six days
had collected over 10,000 signatures. As of this
posting, there are over 12,000 signatures and still coming in. You can
access the petition through the web link above.

Thanks to all of you for your support of the petition of the Second
Amendment Sisters. We started out wanting to put a little something together
to counter the Million Mom Marchers -- it has turned into a national
movement! We couldn't have done it without you wonderful FReepers!

If you are able to volunteer and hand out flyers, download the flyers from
the website above and contact us at moms4guns@yahoo.com and offer your
services!

Feb. 11,2000--- The Anti gun Million Moms
March for Gun Control, all 40 of them, have
definately removed their petition from i-charity.com weather in shame because of only 40 signatures or because of other considerations remains unclear. They have been trying to get signatures for three months now!

The Second Amendment Sisters (moms 4 guns) AIMM pro-gun petition now has

------ 13,310 signatures ----

It seems to me that if we can force them off one website, there ought to be others. If we keep hammering them like this, they might even call off the March.

Let's keep at it until the numbers are so overwhelming that the MMM will have to cave in. They can rest assured that their buddies in the media wouldn't broadcast their collapse -- like old soldiers, they would just "fade away".

A tip 'o the hat to all who have taken part.

Looks to be over 18,000 signatures at this time.
I figure on being there as well. I can get the time from work easy enough. And I sure as hell can't afford NOT to go
