Pro-gun groups other than NRA

I am a member of the NRA, but would like to know more about other pro-gun organizations. Does anyone have a list? Do these groups have websites? Do you have any preferences and why?

Some are:

Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, a lobbying group, Liberty Park, 12500 N.E. Tenth Place, Bellevue, WA 98005

Second Amendment Foundation, an educational group (contributions tax-deductible), James Madison Building, 12500 N.E. Tenth Place, Bellevue, WA 98005. (SAF is associated with CCRKBA.)

Gun Owners of America, a lobbying group. (Sorry, I don't have the address.)

There is also your state rifle and pistol association. If you belong to a gun club which is "above" engaging in politics, try to persuade them to be more active.*

None of the above has the clout of the NRA, though. Being able to speak for 3 million members is much better than being able to speak for yourself and your brother in law.

* A "bennie" to belonging to a state association or a CMP affiliated club is that membership is a prerequisite to being able to purchase rifles through the Civilian Marksmanship Program.

I am a member of all the groups listed and recommend the Law Enforcement Alliance of America. I am not an LEO, but as an appreciative citizen this is a great organization. The magazine SHIELD is worth the $20 dues. They are on your side and prove it. Their legislative efforts are worth monitoring. They are erasing the "them" in the us VS them debate. We are on the same team.

Check my site for a list of various organizations and some links to other sites with other links to sites with links... :D

I'm first and foremost a member of the NRA, as they are the most widely known RKBA organization out there at this time. However, I am also a member of the no-compromise GOA. In addition, I'm at the state level with the Texas State Rifle Association.

The Gun Owners of America is for those who want to devote their resources to a NO compromise organization. While I liked reading the slick NRA magazine, they are a little to soft for the majority of us who take our rights seriously.
