Pricy 45 colt

Shooter's:
Spent 50 bucks on fifty rounds of 45 colt today. Yipes. Am reloading my own, but will go to range this weekend and didn't have "enough." I'm guessing anyone who wants to shoot their 45 colt on a regular basis would have to become a reloader. Least I've paid for 50 rounds is $30.

WOW And I thought my friend paying $32/50 for cowboy loads was insane!!
I cant imagine paying that much for rifle ammo let alone for a pistol.

The only factory ammo I've bought in MANY years was when we bought two .380's and I didnt have dies or brass yet. We bought 200rds at $15/50:eek:. That was the cheapest they had. Now a friend gives me all his empties.

With homecast bullets I can load them for less than $4/100:D.

44 Special ain't cheap either. I bought a box of each (44 & 45) for around $50.00 a box, but after that I just started buying virgin brass and reloading with commercial cast lead bullets.

Ahhhhh....that's better.

heck shoot 45-90 rifle loads. 45 bucks for 20.

first thing for every gun i own is to make sure i buy the reloading supplies for it

Man O' Man!
How do folks who don't reload afford to shoot?
If it weren't for reloading, I'd only be shooting 22.s and airsoft replicas.
Holy Cow!
Jeezie Pete!
Etcetera!

I had that shocking realization a couple of weeks ago. My .45 Colt has never shot a single round of factory ammo. I cast my own bullets and load my own. I was in Gander Mountain recently and happened to spot a box of 50 .45Colt. Garden variety 255 grain RNL (Winchester or Remington, I forget which) not even the high performance stuff, $59.00!!!
